BNP can’t free Khaleda by waging movement: Razzaque

TANGAIL, July 21, 2019 (BSS) – Awami League Presidium Member and
Agriculture Minister Dr Mohammad Abdur Razzaque has said BNP would not be
able to ensure release of Begum Khaleda Zia by waging movement as it is a
matter of legal procedure.

“She must come out from jail through legal procedure as she was sent to
jail for the embezzlement of orphan’s money,” he said.

He was addressing a monthly meeting of AL as the chief guest at Local
Shaheed Memorial Municipal Park of the district on Saturday.

Tangail Sadar upazila AL organised the meeting as a part of month-long
programme of District Awami League on the occasion of party’s 70th founding
anniversary.

With Sadar Upazila AL acting president Amirul Islam Khan in the chair, the
meeting was also addressed, among others, by local lawmaker Sanowar Hossain,
district AL president and Zilla Parishad chairman Fazlul Rahman Khan Faruk
and former lawmaker Monoara Begum.
