CHATTOGRAM, July 21, 2019 (BSS) – The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) here today arrested a former bank manager on charge of misappropriation of Taka 27.70 lakh from farmers’ fund.
The arrestees were identified as Niboran Chandra Tonchongya, 59, former manager of Agrani Bank, Bandarban branch.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of anti-corruption commission arrested him from city’s GEC crossing area and later on produced him before a court.
Earlier, a case was filed against the arrestee with ACC office-2 in the city.
Mahabubul Alam, deputy-director of ACC, Chattogram-2, said Niboran Chandra misappropriated Taka 27.70 lakh meant for distributing among garlic farmers.
