KHULNA, July 16, 2019 (BSS) – An electrician of Military Engineer Services (MES) of Khulna Jahanabad Cantonment killed in a road mishap this morning at city’s Shiromony area on Khulna-Jessore Highway.
The deceased was identified as Billion Hossain (45) of South Ramzanpur area in Madaripur district.
The accident took place when driver of a speedy truck lost control on the vehicle and ran over Hossain during his morning walk, killing him on the spot, said Shafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge(OC) of Khanjahan Ali Police Station.
An unidentified woman also injured and was admitted to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH), he said.
Police seized the truck and arrested its driver Zaheer Khan from the spot.
