Child drowns in Mohananda river in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, July 15, 2019 (BSS) – A five-year old boy drowned in the river Mohananda at Baliadanga village under Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila this morning.
Imran Hossain, son of Hasnat Ali of Hindupara village, went to the river with his mother and was playing beside her sitting on the river bank at around 9-30 am.
Suddenly a portion of the bank collapsed felling the boy into the river. Being informed, a rescue team from Chapainawabganj Fire Service Station rushed to the spot and rescued him.
But, doctors of Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital declared him dead as he was taken to the hospital.
