DHAKA, July 7, 2019 (BSS) – A separate cardiac unit has been opened at the
Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque today formally
inaugurated the unit for ensuring emergency healthcare services and modern
treatment facility to the cardiac patients.
Addressing a function at DMCH auditorium, he said the Awami League
government has always attached utmost importance to quality health care
services considering it as one of the basic rights of the people.
Highlighting the steps taken by the government for development of the
country’s health sector, the health minister said the present government has
formulated a time-befitting national health policy.
Secretary M Sohorab Hossain and Swadhinata Chikitsak Parishad President
Iqbal Arslan were present, among others.
