POLYTHENE-RECOVERY-CTG
3 tonnes of polythene seized in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, June 30, 2019 (BSS)- Directorate of Environment (DoE) in
Chattogram recovered three tonnes of banned polythene after conducting a
drive at a polythene godown at city’s Reazuddin Bazar area on Sunday.
None of the owners or employees was present during the drive.
On receiving information that one Faruk, owner of a godown has been
secretly stocking polythene in the city for the last three months. A DoE team
conducted the drive along with other high officials and recovered three
tonnes of polythene, Sangukta Das, Assistant Director of DoE told BSS.
DoE also summoned the godown owner Faruk to attend before the hearing in
its office on 1st July.
