DHAKA, June 24, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh Premier League champions Abahani will take on Minerva Punjab in their last group E away match of the AFC Cup scheduled to be held on Wednesday (June 26) at Guwahati’s Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium.
Earlier, on Sunday, the traditional sky blue Dhanmondi outfit reached in Assam, India to play their final group match without their Nigerian striker Sunday Chizoba.
In April, Sunday was late to join Abahani for away match against Chennaiyin FC due to visa complications in which the Dhanmondi outfit suffered a solitary goal defeat.
Table topper Abahani need a victory to move into the inter-zone play-off but they will miss the service of Sunday and injured Brazilian midfielder Wellington Priori.
Abahani dominated the points table with 10 points from five match while Minerva Punjab currently in the third position with five points playing the same number of matches.
