Saif register 2-0 win over Brothers in BPL
DHAKA, June 17, 2019 (BSS) – Saif Sporting Club registered a 2-0 goal victory over Brothers Union Club in the Bangladesh Premier League Football held on Monday at Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh.
After the barren first half, Saif’s foreign recruit Otabek finally broke the deadlock scoring the first goal in the 50th minute. As it looked Saif were going to win the match by a solitary goal, just then their another foreign recruit Celin scored the second and final goal in the 90+4 minute to ensure a 2-0 goal victory for Saif.
Brothers Union however tried to stage fight back in the second half creating some scoring chances but failed to convert those into a goal lack of proper finishing.
Saif SC after today’s win has improved their tally by securing 33 points from 16 matches while Brothers Union Club remained at their previous credit of nine points from 14 outings.
In the day’s second match, Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra split point with NoFel Sporting Club when their match ended in a 1-1 goal draw held at Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni Stadium in Gopalganj.
In the day’s proceeding, Ashraful put NoFel ahead in the 30th minute while Camera scored the equalizer in the 64th minute of the match.
After the outcome, Muktijoddha has secured 17 points from 16 matches while NoFel collected 10 points from 15 matches.
