SANGSAD BHABAN, June 12, 2019 (BSS) – At least 25,526 people were killed due to road accidents
in the last ten years.
Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said this while responding to a query made by opposition BNP lawmaker M Harunur Rashid of Chapainawabganj-3 in the Jatiya Sangsad here
today.
“A total of 25,526 people were killed in the road accidents in the country between the period from January 2009 and April 2019,”said the minister.
Besides, other 19,763 people were also wounded due to the accidents during this time, he added.
The Minister, however, could not specified the total number of cases which have been filed to this end.
