Mannan leaves for Bangkok tomorrow
DHAKA, May 25, 2019 (BSS) – Planning Minister MA Mannan
leaves here for Bangkok tomorrow to participate in the 75th Annual
Session of the United Nations-Economic and Social Commission for
Asia and Pacific (ESCAP).
The Planning Minister will be leading a 16-member high-powered
delegation at the Annual Session of UN-ESCAP to be held at
Bangkok, said a ministry press release.
Economic Relations Division (ERD) Secretary Monowar Ahmed will
accompany the Planning Minister during the tour.
The Planning Minister is expected to return home on May 31.
The seventy-fifth session of the Commission will be held from
May 27 to 31, 2019 at the United Nations Conference Centre in
Bangkok.
The session will comprise a ministerial segment, which will be
held from May 27 to 28, and a senior officials segment from May 29
to 31.
The Special Body on Least Developed, Landlocked Developing and
Pacific Island Developing Countries will be held on May 28.
