SYLHET, May 21, 2019 (BSS) – Two children drowned in a pond at Kathalpur village in Fenchuganj Upazila of the district this morning.
The deceased were identified as Sahara, 05, daughter of Samir Mollah and Shakil Ahmed, 06, son of Islam Uddin, residents of the village.
The children were playing beside the pond near their house in the morning.
As they went missing the parents and locals searched for them, but failed to locate. Later, their bodies were found floating in the pond,” said Abul Bashar M Badruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Fenchuganj Police Station.
They were taken to Fenchuganj Upazila Health Complex where the duty doctor declared them dead.
