DHAKA, MAY 18, 2019 (BSS) – Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam is building a bypass drain from Kalshi to Baulia canal area to eradicate the water logging there.
Atiqul went to Kalshi at 2 pm today to see the construction work. DNCC chief engineer Brigadier General Zubair Salehin, ward councilor Mobassher Chowdhury and executive engineer Enamul Kabir were present among others.
Earlier, the WASA owned Sangbadik khal/canal and Muslim Bazar canal were cleaned by him to end the sufferings of the local.
Almost 90 percent of the work has been completed already, the rest of the work will be finished within this week.
The net worth of the 1188 meter long drain pipe is Taka 5.5 crore.
