Four top police officers transferred
DHAKA, May 16, 2019 (BSS) – Four top police officials have been transferred and given new postings as the Home Ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard today.
The notification was signed by Deputy Secretary Dhananjay Kumar Das, said an official press release.
According to the notification, Additional Inspector General of Police Mohammad Shafiqul Islam was transferred to Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Police as Additional Inspector General of Police.
Chief of River Police, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Mohammad Maruf Hasan was promoted to the post of additional inspector general of police and has been appointed as the rector (current charge) of Police Staff College in the capital.
Deputy Inspector General of Police of Dhaka range Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun was promoted as additional inspector general of police (current charge) and has been transferred to police headquarters.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Barrister Mahbubur Rahman was promoted to the post of additional IGP and has been transferred to highway police from the police headquarters.
