DHAKA, May 13, 2019 (BSS) – Awami League’s sub-committee on media,
publicity and documentation formed to celebrate birth centenary of Father of
the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman today held a meeting in
International Mother Language Institute (IMLI) auditorium here.
Sub-committee convener and Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud chaired
the meeting.
National Professor Rafiqul Islam, Dhaka University former Vice-Chancellor
Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam,
National Committee to Implementation of Bangabandhu’s Birth Centenary
Observance Chief Coordinator Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury, Prime Minister’s
Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim, Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Managing
Director and Chief Editor Abul Kalam Azad attended it, among others.
They discussed dissemination of different news on Bangabandhu’s birth
centenary on different national and international media, publication of
posters and booklets, showing of different documentation and records made on
Bangabandhu at district and upazila levels.
Hasan Mahmud said a modern media cell will be formed and everyday
different contents would be made on Bangabandhu and it would be run in
different media.
