DHAKA, May 12, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh Under-16 team will take on Pakistan tomorrow (Monday) in the second match of the three-match one-day series at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna.
The hosts won the first match by 89 runs and a victory tomorrow will help them clinch the series with a match to spare.
Mahfuzur Rahman Rabbi led Bangladesh youth’s emphatic victory with a stellar all-round performance as he scored 71 ball-66 runs and took two wickets with the cherry.
However Bangladesh would be worried with their top-order batsmen’s performance. Batting first in the first match, the junior Tigers were reduced to 96-6 before Mahfuz rescued the side from the ultimate shamble.
Bangladesh earlier won the two-match three-day series by 1-0, thanks to a five-wicket win over Pakistan in the first match. The second and final three-day match ended in a draw.
