AHSANULLAH- DEATH-ANNIVERSARY
15th death anniversary of Ahsanullah Master on May 7
DHAKA, MAY 4, 2019 (BSS) – The 15th death anniversary of veteran Freedom Fighter,
labour leader and teacher Ahsanullah Master, MP, will be observed on Tuesday, next.
To mark the day, different programmes have been chalked out in Dhaka and Gazipur.
Wreaths will be placed at his grave in his village home Haidrabad under Gazipur City
Corporation in the morning. Milad, Doa Mahfil, Quran recitation and discussions will be
organized. Free food will be distributed among the poor.
Ahsanullah Master, MP, Sriti Parishad will hold a discussion at the Jatiya Press Club
tomorrow (May 5).
Liberation War Affairs’ Minister AKM Mozammel Haque will attend the discussion as
chief guest. Prominent leaders, teachers, lawyers, journalists and people of different
professional bodies will also take part in the discussion.
AL leaders of Gazipur and Tongi and other organizations have arranged various
programmes including doa mahfil and discussion on 7 May.
Ahsanullah Master was elected Member of Parliament twice from Gazipur-2 constituency
in 1996 and 2001. He was also a national committee member of Awami League and
associated with different national and international organizations.
On May 7 in 2004, he was killed by a group of terrorists on MA Majid Mia High School
ground at Noagaon in the district.
Youth and sports state minister Zahid Ahsan Russell , also the elder son of
Ahsanullah Master, has requested all leaders of AL, Chhatra league, Sramik League and
Jubo league along with common people to attend the milad mahfils in Dhaka and Gazipur.
