DHAKA, April 28, 2019 (BSS) – The committee formed to give recommendations for preventing road accidents and bringing discipline on roads and highways of the country has submitted its report to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Committee Chairman and former shipping minister Shajahan Khan handed over the report to the premier at Ganabhaban here this afternoon.
National Road Transport Owners Association president and Jatiya Party Secretary General Mashiur Rahman Ranga, noted columnist Syed Abul Maksud and Nirapad Sarak Chai Chairman actor Ilias Kanchan were present among others.
The government on February 17 constituted the 15-member committee to recommend measures for bringing discipline on roads and highways and checking road accidents across the country.
