NATORE, March 23, 2018 (BSS)-The freedom fighters will get three more bonuses soon along with the two existing bonuses in a year.
Liberation War Affairs Minister Advocate AKM Mozammel Haque made the announcement on Thursday night while inaugurating a Mukitijoddah complex at Singra Goal-E-Afroz Govt College in Singra upazila of the district.
Addressing a public rally as chief guest in this connection, the minister said, “The freedom fighters are now getting two bonuses during the two Eid festivals in a year and soon they will get three more bonuses on the occasions of the Independence Day, Victory Day and the Bengali New Year.”
Terming the freedom fighter the best sons of the soil, he said the present government is increasing the area of opportunities for the freedom fighters.
Apart from this, the government is going to provide medical treatment and drugs facilities free of cost to the freedom fighters from the next month, he added.
Chaired by Upazila Awami League President Sheikh Wahidur Rahman, the public rally also was addressed, among others, by State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Upazila Chairman Shafiqul Islam and the local municipality Mayor Jannatul Ferdous.
