Mild heat wave may continue till tomorrow: Met office

DHAKA, April 25, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD)
today forecasted that the prevailing mild heat wave would continue at many
places across the country till tomorrow.

“Mild heat wave is sweeping over Chattogram, Barishal, Khulna and Sylhet
divisions and the regions of Dhaka, Faridpur, Madaripur, Rajshahi, Pabna and
Sayedpur in last 24 hours commencing at 9 am today,”

Meanwhile, a low has developed over Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining
South Bay.

The Met office added: “The heat wave will start decreasing day after
tomorrow.”

“Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country,” said
a press release.

The highest temperature on Wednesday was recorded 37.8 degrees Celsius at
Sitakunda in Chattogram division while the lowest temperature today was
recorded 22.0 degrees Celsius at l Rangamati in Chattogram.

Today’s sunset in the capital will be at 6.24 pm and tomorrow’s sunrise
will be at 5.28 am.
