Early marriage foiled in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, April 20, 2019 (BSS) – Rangunia Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Masudur Rahman today foiled matrimony of a 12 year old girl at the village Qaderiapara.
The girl, who is a class six student at Pomara High School, was set to marry tomorrow (Sunday). But the girl went to her school and told it to her headmaster Tohidul Islam Tipu this morning.
Later the headmaster informed it to the UNO who rushed to the spot and foiled the marriage.
The girl’s parents also made a commitment to the UNO that they would not arrange marriage of their daughter until she becomes young.
