DAY WATER-CHILMARI (with picture)
Proper management of surface water stressed
RANGPUR, Apr 11, 2019 (BSS) – Officials at a discussion today stressed on
ensuring proper management of surface water and its optimum use to check
water contamination and save environment, ecology and bio-diversity.
They came up with the opinion at the post-rally discussion jointly
organised by upazila administration and Water Development Board (WDB) at
Chilmari upazila parisahd hall room in Chilmari upazila town of Kurigram in
observance of the World Water Day- 2019.
Earlier, a rally, participated by officials and employees of the upazila
level different government and non-government organisations, students,
teachers, youths, social activists, professionals and elite, was brought out.
Sub-assistant Engineer of WDB Md. Shariful Islam attended the discussion
as the chief guest with Chilmari Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md.
Taher Ali in the chair.
Chilmari Upazila Fisheries Officer Md. Badruzzaman Mian, Editor of the
local Weekly Juger Khabar SM Nurul Amin Sarker, Manager Shafiar Rahman of NGO
Friendship and Coordinator of NGO Terre Des Homage addressed as special
guests.
