DHAKA, April 11, 2019 (BSS) -Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind with hails at isolated places over the country in 24 hours commencing at 9 am today.
“Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with hails at isolated places,” said a met office release here this noon.
Yesterday’s highest temperature was recorded 33.1 degrees Celsius at Teknaf in Barishal division and today’s minimum temperature 18.2 degrees Celsius at Nikli in Dhaka division.
Day and night temperature may rise by (1-2)ø C over the country, the release said.
Today’s sunset at Dhaka would be at 06:19 pm while tomorrow’s sunrise would be here at 05:41 am.
Meanwhile, rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary west or northwesterly gusty or squally wind speed 45-60 kph is likely to occur over the regions of Pabna, Bogura, Tangail, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Dhaka, Faridpur, Barishal, Cumilla and Noakhali wherein riverports shall hoist cautionary signal no one, said an island riverports warning message.
However, there is no marine warning and no signals to be hoisted in sea, the release added.
