DHAKA, Mar 7, 2018 (BSS) – Finance Minister AMA Muhith today underscored the need for rejuvenating jute by creating new markets for jute goods and taking projects under the public-private partnership (PPP) process to bring back the golden past of the country’s jute sector.
“We want to rejuvenate jute. New markets have already been created for jute products,” he told journalist after unveiling a souvenir named “Proyash” at the Finance Ministry in the city.
Officers and Employees Welfare Association of the Finance Division and Financial Institutions Division published the souvenir.
For developing jute, Muhith said all projects will be taken through PPP process and the ministry and a coordination cell will monitor the development of the jute sector.
