PM witnesses design of new JnU campus

DHAKA, March 24, 2019 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today witnessed the design of new campus of Jagannath University (JnU) and its Power Management Institute.

The design of the new JnU campus and its Power Management Institute, to be built in Keraniganj on the outskirts of the capital, was placed before the prime minister through a power point presentation at her office here this morning.

Briefing reporters after the event, PM’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim said the prime minister expressed satisfaction over the design of the new campus of the university and its Power Management Institute.

She instructed the authorities concerned of the university to build the establishments of the university by keeping adequate playgrounds and waterbodies.

The prime minister also asked them to construct the establishments by keeping a system of harvesting rainwater and giving proper attention to environment.

PM’s Energy Adviser Dr Towfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid Bipu, PM’s Principal Secretary Md Nojibur Rahman, Vice-Chancellor of the university Dr Mizanur Rahman, Power Division Secretary Dr Ahmad Kaikaus and Energy and Mineral Resources Division Secretary Abu Hena Md. Rahmatul Muneem were present on the occasion.
