CHATTOGRAM, March 19, 2019 (BSS) – Chattogram Divisional Commissioner Abdul Mannan today formed a seven-member committee to probe the Bagaichari incident that left at least seven people, including two polling officials and four Ansar personnel, dead last night.
Director of LGRD division, Chattogram, Dipak Chakrabarti and the additional district magistrate, Rangamati have been made the chief and the member secretary respectively of the committee.
The probe committee chief Dipak Chakrabarti told BSS tonight that the committee also comprised of additional deputy inspector general of police, Chattogram range, a representative of BGB to the rank of a major, representative of Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board to the rank of joint secretary and representatives of Rangamati Zilla Parishad, Ansar and VDP.
The committee has been asked to submit its reports by ten working days.
