Passengers of hijacked plane leave Ctg for Dubai

CHATTOGRAM, Feb 25, 2019 (BSS) – A total of 134 passengers of the
Bangladesh Biman flight, which made emergency landing at Chattogram Shah
Amanat International Airport (CSAIA) yesterday following an attempted
hijacking, left the port city by another flight for Dubai this afternoon.

Manager of CSAIA Wing Commander Sarwar E-Zaman told BSS that another
aircraft of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the passengers left the
airport around 1.25 pm,

The operational activities in the airport resumed at 10.50 pm last night
and security has been tightening after the incident and the operations of the
airport are running smoothly, he said.

The Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry formed a five-member probe
committee to investigate the ‘attempt to hijack’ an aircraft of Biman
Bangladesh Airlines.

An army commando operation successfully thwart an attempt to hijack a
Dubai-bound Biman Bangladesh Airlines plane from Dhaka after it made an
emergency landing at CSAIA last night.
