BRAHMANBARIA, Feb 15, 2019 (BSS) – Law, Justice and Parliamentary
Affairs Minister Anisul Huq today said allegations raised by BNP regarding
recently held national polls are completely baseless.

“BNP has filed case with election tribunal. They will raise their
statements there. BNP has to accept the truth that people reelected the
government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina spontaneously,” he said.

The minister came up with the observations while talking to newsmen at
Akhaura Rail Station this morning.

While answering a question on a letter given to Trump administration by
a couple of members of the House Foreign Affairs Committee on the democracy
in Bangladesh, the law minister said those US congressmen should have wrote
the letter after collecting more information regarding Bangladesh.

Earlier local leaders and activists of Awami League, Jubo League and
Chhatra League welcomed Anisul Huq at the station as he reached there from
Dhaka.

Upazila Awami League convener Prof Md Joynal Abedin, joint convener Md
Selim Bhuiyan, city mayor Takjil Khalifa Kazal, Jubo League leader Md Abdul
Momin Babul and Chhtra League president Shahabuddin Begh Shiplu were present
on the occasion, among others.
