Record amount of Tk7cr VAT collected in DITF
DHAKA, Feb 10, 2019 (BSS) – In the month-long Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF), a record amount of Taka seven crore was collected as value added tax (VAT).
The DITF ended on Saturday which witnessed an average VAT collection of over Taka 50 lakh in the last week.
Talking to BSS, National Board of Revenue (NBR) Chairman Md Mosharraf Hossain today said Customs, Excise and VAT Commissionerate of Dhaka West collected Taka seven crore as VAT from the DITF which was Taka five crore in the last edition of DITF.
“We’ve inspired the businessmen to comply with the VAT law and received good response from them,” he added.
