Navy chief pays tribute to Bangabandhu
DHAKA, Jan 28, 2019 (BSS) – Newly appointed Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Abu Mozaffar Mohiuddin Mohammad Aurangzeb Chowdhury today paid homage by placing wreaths at the mausoleum of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara.
Later, President of Bangladesh Navy Family Welfare Association (BNFWA) Dr Afroza Aurangzeb also paid homage by floral wreaths at the mausoleum, said an ISPR press release.
They also offered special munajat seeking eternal peace of the Father of the Nation.
The navy chief visited local house of the Father of the Nation, museum and library, and then he signed the visitors’ book. He also donated 91 pieces of books titled “Bangabandhu and Muktijuddah” at the local library.
High navy officials including regional commander of Khulna Naval Zone and BNFWA’s Khulna branch chairman also attended the function.
