Regent airways to spread wings to China, UAE

DHAKA, Jan 27, 2019 (BSS) – Regent airways, one of the country’s private airlines, is set to spread its wings to Chinese airspace within three months and taking preparation to touch soil of the middle eastern UAE.

“We are almost at the final stage, hopefully we will be able to operate Dhaka-Guangzhou-Dhaka flights within three months and we are planning to open Dhaka-UAE flight in near future,” Chief Commercial Officer Hanif Zakaria told journalist at a press briefing at a city hotel here today.

Regent airways Deputy Managing Director Salman Habib and Director (Marketing and Sales) Sohail Majid also spoke at the briefing organized for launching the airlines mobile app.

“As a customer focused Airline, we are constantly working on offering user-friendly solutions to enhance overall experience of our customers and meet their ever growing demands” said Habib.

Using the App, the customers will be able to book their flights and have their tickets issued using their IOS or Android mobile devices.

Besides, they will be provided with updated flight schedule and various offers from the Airline.

“Hopefully by next year, customers will be able to issue their own boarding pass and self-board their flights, check the flight status, get actual arrival and departure time information,” Habib said.

The Airline presently operates Kolkata, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur Singapore, Doha and Muscat in the international routes and to Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Jashore and Saidpur as domestic destination.

Regent Airways, presently, fleet consists of 8 aircrafts; four B737-800, two B737-700 and two Dash-8-Q300.
