RAJSHAHI, Jan 16, 2018 (BSS)- First year classes of newly admitted students in 2017-18 academic year of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) will start from January 20, a RUET press release said here yesterday.
Prior to this, orientation for all the students of three faculties will be held on January 18 according to the decision of RUET’s academic council meeting, the release added.
The first year admitted students have been asked to register their names at central auditorium at least 30 minutes before of the respective orientation meeting start.
Guardians and parents of the students were also invited to attend the orientation meeting. Classes of all departments will be held based on the respective selected routine from January 20.
The press release pointed out that if any student remains absent in 10 consecutive class-days his or her admission will be cancelled.
The fresh students were also advised to arrange their residence with own initiative RUET is not capable to accommodate them in its own dormitory at this moment.
This year, a total of 6,464 students took part in admission test. Of them, 1,115 got chance for admission in 14 departments.
