Ferry service on Paturia-Daulatdia route resumes after 6.30 hours
MANIKGANJ, Jan 15, 2018 (BSS) – Ferry service on Paturia-Daulatdia route in
Padma river resumed after suspension of 6.30 hours due to dense fog on
Monday.
Tanvir Ahmed, Manager (Commerce), Bangladesh Inland Water Transport
Corporation (BIWTC) at Paturia ghat, said the ferry service was suspended
from 3.30 am to 10.05 am on Monday due to poor visibility caused by dense
fog.
About 400 vehicles, including passenger buses, trucks and cars, remained
stranded at Paturia ghat at that time, he added.
The ferry movement resumed at 10.05 am today as the fog disappeared, he
continued.
