DHAKA, Jan 3, 2019 (BSS) – Severe cold wave is sweeping over Panchaghar district while mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over the rest part of Rangpur division and the regions of Faridpur, Madaripur, Gopalganj, Srimangal, Rajshahi, Pabna, Naogaon, Jessore, Chuadanga, Shatkhira and Barishal and it may continue and spread.
Moreover, weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country while light fog may occur at places over the river basins of the country during late night to tomorrow morning, a Met office release said today.
Night temperature may fall by (1-2) øC and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
The country’s highest temperature yesterday was recorded 30.0 degree Celsius at Sitakunda in Chattogram while today’s minimum temperature was 5.8 degree Celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur.
The sun sets today at 5.24 pm and rises at 6.42 am tomorrow in the capital.
