Quader hopes AL to get two-third seats in election

NOAKHALI, Dec 27, 2018 (BSS) – Awami League (AL) General Secretary and
Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today hoped Awami League
(AL) will win in the 11th parliamentary polls getting two-third majority.

“I hope that Awami League will get two-third seats in the upcoming
parliamentary polls to be held on December 30,” he told an election rally on
the Bashur Hat(market) Govt High School at Companyganj upazila of the
district.

Quader said, “Upsurge in favour of Awami League (AL) has been created ahead
of the parliamentary polls….. We are seeing sign of victory as the people
of the country are giving positive feedback in favour of Awami League.”

The people of the country will re-elect AL-led grand alliance government
in the general election to continue ongoing development process, he said AL
has come to power through getting people’s mandate.

“Awami League believes people are the source of power…. We always
respect the hopes and aspiration of the people. Awami League must come to
power through winning people’s mandate,” the AL General Secretary said.

Quader said Bangladesh has witnessed massive progress in the past 10 years
as Awami League-led government has implemented various development
programmes.

The people of Bangladesh are now leading a happy life and the country is
marching forward as a result of farsighted and dynamic leadership of Prime
Minister Sheikh Hasina, he said adding, “Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has
achieved global recognition because of her hardworking and humanitarian
qualities.”

Quader urged the voters to cast their votes in favour of Awami League in
the December 30 national election to complete the unfinished development
programmes.

President of Companyganj unit of AL Kijir Hayat, Upazila Parishad Chairman
Mizanur Rahman, leaders and activists of the party, among others, were
present at the rally.
