RANGPUR, Dec 12, 2018 (BSS) – State Minister for Social Welfare Nuruzzaman
Ahmed, MP, has said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has materialises her words
into reality by building a digital Bangladesh in a very shorter period.
“Foiling all sorts of conspiracies, Sheikh Hasina has turned Bangladesh
into a global role model for development by realising her words with hard
endevours aiming at ensuring development of the country to ensure welfare of
the common people,” he said.
Nuruzzaman made these observations at a rally organised by Polashi union
parisahd for workers of Awami League (AL) and its associate bodies at village
Kadamtola in Polashi union of Aditmari upazila in Lalmonirhat on Tuesday as
the chief guest.
The State Minister said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has relieved the
people of Rangpur region from miseries of decades-old extreme poverty-like
situation of ‘monga’ by ensuring foods, livelihoods, shelters and clothes for
everyone in the area.
“The eleventh parliamentary election is very important for the peace-
loving people of the country,” he said urging the common people to vote for
the symbol ‘Boat’ to bring back AL-led grand alliance again into power for
continuation of developments.
Nuruzzaman strongly criticised the BNP-Jamaat alliance for ‘looting’
national resources and siphoning off those to foreign countries while they
were in power making ‘hills of properties’ abroad.
With local Polashi union Chairman Shawkat Ali in the chair, freedom
fighter Abdul Hamid Mollah, President of Aditmari upazila Swechchasebak
League Ashrafuzzaman Khan Morshed, its Polashi union unit General Secretary
Iqbal Hossain Biplob, former Chairman of Durgapur union Ferozur Rahman Nannu,
Chairman of Cholbola union Mizanur Rahman Miju, Convener of Polashi union
unit of Jatiya Party Shah Alma Mintu, among others, addressed.
