JHALOKATI, 9 Dec, 2018 (BSS)- Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu today said freedom fighters have to play a special role in conducting a free and fair election for uninterrupted democratic process.
The minister was addressing as the chief guest at a program in observance of the `Pakhanadar Free Day’ on Saturday in Jhalokati district, organized by the freedom fighters.
The meeting was held at Shilpokala academy auditorium of the district with freedom fighter Mubarak Hossain in the chair.
Amu urged new generations to uphold the spirit of liberation war and to rally round under the umbrella of Awami League.
The minister said “anti-liberation forces are now engaged in conspiracies to foil the election… All of us including, the freedom fighters, have to remain alert regarding this ”.
Among others, Zilla Parishad Chairman Sarder Shah Alam, General Secretary of District Awami League Advocate Khan Saifullah Panir, City Mayor Mohammad Liakot Ali Talukder and Zilla former Deputy Muktijudda Commander Dulal Shaha addressed the meeting.
