RANGPUR, Dec 08, 2018 (BSS) – Disseminating true national history to the children along with flourishing their latent talents through extra-curricular activities are crucial to bring up them with patriotic zeal for building a prideful future nation.
The observations came at a discussion in concluding ceremony of the Children Drawing Competition-2018 on the Great Victory Day held at Syedpur Railway Officers’ Club in Syedpur upazila town of Nilphamari on Friday evening.
Facebook-based youths’ group ‘Shikhkha Nagari Syedpur’ in association with ‘Syedpur Rong Tuli Art Academy’ organised the competitions participated by over 300 young students of different Art Academies of the upazila town in three categories.
Syedpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer S M Golam Kibria attended the discussion and distributed prizes among the winner children as the chief guest.
With Director of ‘Syedpur Rong Tuli Art Academy’ Zahid Akhteri in the chair, Members of ‘Shikhkha Nagari Syedpur’ Amir Khan, Mubarak Rasel, Khondker Abida Sultana, Bandhan Kahn, Shibli Akhter Hena and Alamgir Hossain addressed the discussion.
The chief guest laid emphasis on flourishing extra-curricular talents of the children and projecting true national history to make them enlightened citizens with patriotic zeal for ultimately building a developed Bangladesh.
After the discussion, he distributed prizes and certificates among the winner children of the drawing competitions in three different categories.
