ARREST-SMUGGLERS-C’NAWABGANJ
3 held with fake Indian currency in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Dec 29, 2017 (BSS)- Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-5 arrested three alleged smugglers with Indian fake currency of Rs.98,000 from a mango orchard at Mastanbazar under Shibganj upazila in the district on Thursday.
The arrested were identified as Md. Maruf Hossain, 42, of Mondoltala village, Md. Kajal Uddin, 30, of the same village and Md. Tuel Babu, 25, of Natun Barorashia all under Shibganj upazila of the district.
RAB said, acting on secret information, an operation team of RAB from Chapainawabganj camp raided the aforesaid area around 5 pm and arrested them with the Indian fake currency.
Later, they were handed over to Shibganj thana police.
A case was filed.
