RAJSHAHI, Nov 18, 2018 (BSS)-Rajshahi District Judgeship Conference-2018
was held here on Saturday with a call for maintaining cordial relations and
coordination among judges, legal practitioners and law enforcement agencies
for ensuring justice to all.
Presiding over the event in the conference hall of Chief Judicial
Magistrate Court, District and Sessions Judge Meer Shafiqul Alam urged all
concerned to undertake effective measures for establishing the rule of law in
society.
Stressing the need for maintaining cooperative relations between the
judiciary and the executive, the district and sessions judge said otherwise
the cherished development of the country would not be possible.
In criminal judicial management, Judge Meer Shafiqul Alam said the role of
law enforcement agencies, including the police and RAB, is very significant.
They have to discharge their duties with utmost sincerity and honesty for
the sake of ensuring justice, he added.
Metropolitan Sessions Judge AHM Ilias Hossain addressed the conference as
the chief guest.
Director of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital Brig Gen Jamilur Rahman,
Divisional Special Judge Mustakinur Rahman, Speedy Tribunal Judge Anup Kumar,
District Magistrate SM Abdul Kader, Superintendent of Police Md Shahudullah
and Civil Surgeon Dr Sanjit Kumar Shaha, among others, also spoke at the
conference.
