Mominul hits seventh Test ton

DHAKA, Nov 11, 2018 (BSS)- Dependable batsman Mominul Haque scored his seventh Test hundred against visiting Zimbabwe on the first day during the second and final Test at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur in the city today.

The left-hander made the most of drop catch on nine dispatched a Sikandar Raza full-toss to the mid-wicket boundary in the 55th over to complete his magnificent ton that studded with 12 boundaries.

Mominul also involved a massive 266-run fourth wicket stand with Mushfiqur Rahim after Bangladesh got off to a shaky start losing their three top order batsmen for 26.

Tendai Chatara finally broke the stubborn partnership dismissing Mominul, who’s heroic innings of 161 off 247-ball furnished with 19 boundaries.

Mominul’s highest test knock of 181 runs came against New Zealand backed in 2013 in Chittagong.

Following Mominul Haque’s seventh Test hundred, it was Mushfiqur Rahim’s turn to hit ton as the diminutive wicket keeper picked up his sixth Test ton.
