DHAKA, Nov 6, 2018 (BSS) – Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Dhaka Saed Mohamed Al Mheiri today called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman at the latter’s office here.
Chairman of the Department of Arabic of DU Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yusuf and other teachers were present on this occasion.
During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest specially the possibilities of strengthening friendly relationship between Bangladesh and the UAE.
The Vice-Chancellor sought cooperation from UAE ambassador for promoting Arabic Department at DU.
The UAE envoy assured the vice-chancellor of providing all possible support and cooperation in this regard.
The vice-chancellor thanked the guest for his visit to Dhaka University and keen interest in its academic and research activities.
