Vitamin A campaign on Saturday
DHAKA, Dec 20, 2017 (BSS) – The country-wide Vitamin A plus national
campaign (1st round) will be held on Saturday.
During the campaign, children aged between six to 11 months will be given
the blue-coloured high-powered Vitamin A capsule while children aged between
one to five years will be fed red-coloured capsule.
Mobile centres will be set up at bus stands, railway stations, launch
terminals, airports, ferry terminals, bridge toll centres and kheya ghats,
and these will remain open from 8:00am to 4:00pm to make sure that all
children are fed the capsules.
The campaign started in 1973 under Health and Family Welfare ministry.
