JASHORE, Oct 29, 2018(BSS)-Mosammat Ayesha Khan, mother of former education secretary Md Nazrul Islam Khan, died of old-age complications at Jashore 250-bed Hospital here today.
She was 88, family sources said.
Mosammat Ayesha Khan is survived by five sons, one daughter, a host of relatives and admirers.
She will be buried at her family graveyard at Moshimnagar village under Monirampur upazila after a Namaz-e-Janaza tonight.
Md Nazrul Islam Khan, popularly known as N I Khan, is now serving as the curator of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Museum.
He also served as Private Secretary (PS)-1 to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, in a condolence message, today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Ayesha Khan. She also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.
