DMP files 5,275 cases for traffic rule violation
DHAKA, Oct 28, 2018 (BSS)- Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Saturday filed 5,275 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule violation.
It also realized over Taka 46.33 lakh as fine for traffic rule violation, said an official release.
Of the total cases, 503 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 173 for using hydraulic horn, nine for using hotter and beckon light and 18 others for using tinted glass.
Police filed 1557 cases against motorcycles and seized 109 others for violation of the traffic rules.
Traffic police has dumped 21 vehicles and wrecked 726 others.
