RAJSHAHI, Oct 20, 2018 (BSS) – Admission test for the first year BSc
Engineering courses in Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology
(RUET) under its 2018-19 academic sessions will be held tomorrow (Sunday).
Process of application form has been completed successfully. Among the
applicants, 8,000 students were scrutinized on basis of their results
obtained in SSC and HSC examinations for the entry test, said RUET sources.
List of eligible students has been published and they have collected their
respective admit cards from RUET’s website till midnight of October 16. None
will be allowed to enter into the examination hall without admit card.
Sources said the admission test will be held for 1,235 seats in 14
departments this year. Detailed information about admission test will be
available at www.ruet.ac.bd website.
Detailing the preparation of the entry test, RUET Vice-chancellor Prof
Rafiqul Islam Sheikh said there is no scope of question leakage. “All we
university teachers irrespective of party and opinion affiliation are working
together relentlessly to make the test a total success,” the VC added.
Prof Islam said the application process has been completed through check
and crosscheck. So, there is no chance of any forgery through proxy. Modern
technology will be used for preventing forgery. Above all, stern action will
be taken against those found to be guilty in any stage of the process.
He also said the law enforcing agencies were requested to extend their
cooperation to complete the process successfully.
