Chittagong Div suffer batting jolt on day 2 in NCL

DHAKA, Oct 16, 2018 (BSS)- Despite Tasamul Haque’s fighting unbeaten half
century Chittagong Division suffered batting debacle in their first innings
as they scored 187 for 6 at stumps against Dhaka Metropolis in second day of
tier-2 third round match of four-day National Cricket League (NCL) held on
Tuesday.

Chittagong Division still trailed by 100 runs in the first innings and
they have four wickets in hand after the second day’s play.

Middle order batsman Tasamul composed a responsible 81 runs off 144 balls
laced with nine boundaries and one over boundary, after Chittagong slipped to
101 for 4.

Mehedi Hasan Rana was the other batsman to remain unbeaten on 15 with
Tasamul as the stumps were drawn for the day.

Pacer Taskin Ahmed was the most successful bowler as he claimed three
Chittagong’s wickets for 46 runs.

Earlier, Dhaka Metropolis were dismissed their first innings at 287 after
they resumed the second day with overnight score at 266.
