Archers to start campaign with qualification round tomorrow

DHAKA, May 16, 2022 (BSS)- The Bangladesh archery team will start their Archery World Cup Stage-2 with compound division qualification round following the official practice, equipment inspection and managers meeting tomorrow (Tuesday) in city of Gwangju, Korea.

The Bangladesh archery team will only take part in the recurve division men's individual and team event, recurve women's individual and recurve mixed team event. The qualification round of recurve division will be held on Wednesday (May 18).

A total of 144 men's and 126 women's archers from 39 countries across the globe are taking part in the week-long meet.

In the tournament, 80 archers in recurve division men's singles event, 67 archers in women's individual event, 18 archers in men's team event and 20 countries in mixed team event are participating in the tournament.

The Bangladesh archery team are participating in the event under the patronization of City Group.

Earlier, on Sunday last, a six-member of archery team left for Korea by Singapore Airline to compete in the tournament.

The six-member archery team included three men's archers, one woman archer, one trainer and one team's manager.

The Bangladesh archery team will compete in the recurve men's singles, recurve men's team event, recurve mixed team event and recurve women's individual event in the World Cup stage-2.

Bangladesh archery team - Ruman Sana, Mohammad Hakim Ahmed Rubel and Abdur Rahman Alif ( archers recurve men's) and Diya Siddique (archer recurve women's).
