DHAKA, May 7, 2022 (BSS)- The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) today announced
the BCB XI for the two-day practice match against Sri Lanka at the Bangladesh
Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) on May 10-11.
The Sri Lankan cricket team will arrive in Bangladesh tomorrow (Sunday) for a
two-match Test series which is a part of the 2021-2023 ICC World Test
Championship.
Mohammad Mithun will lead the side which also included Anamul Haque Bijoy who
had recently scored 1138 runs in Dhaka Premier League (DPL), the highest by a
player since the DPL got List A status in 2013.
Shadman Islam, Saif Hassan, Abu Jayed Rahi who were dropped from the first
Test against Sri Lanka were also called up along with Mosaddek Hossain, who
was added to the squad suddenly.
The first Test will start at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram
on May 15 while the second Test will begin at the Sher-e-Bangla National
Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on May 23.
