DHAKA, Sept 22, 2021 (BSS) - Three matches of Bangabandhu Federation Cup

basketball were decided on the opening day (Wednesday) at Dhanmondi
basketball gymnasium in the city.

  In the day's matches, Bangladesh Navy beat Dhumketu Club by 85-34 points
after leading the first half by 46-14 points, Bangladesh Air Force defeated
Bangladesh Police by 64-45 points after dominating the first half by 24-23
points and Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan outclassed Joshe Fights Club
by 70-58 points after dominating the first half by 25-19 points.

  Earlier, Bangladesh Basketball Federation (BBF) president Dr Mostafa Jalal
Mohiuddin formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest.

  Organized by BBF, a total of seven teams, split into two groups, are taking
part in the meet, which is being held marking the birth centenary of Father
of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
