DHAKA, Sept.5, 2021 (BSS)- Brahmanbaria and Panchagarh districts won their respective group A final round matches of JFA U14 National Women's Football Championship beating their respective rivals held today at Shaheed Muktijoddha Smrity Stadium in Rajshahi.
In the day’s first match, Brahmanbaria district defeated Cox’s Bazar district by 4-1 goals with Jasmin Akter scored hat-trick with three goals in the 9th, 24th and 55th minutes while she was well supported by Puja Rani who netted the lone goal in the 43rd minute for the winning side.
Kranchi Marma scored the lone goal for Cox’s Bazar in the 70+1st minute of the match.
In the day’s second match, Panchagarh district recorded their first win in the meet as they blanked Mymensingh district by 3-0 goals with Rimi Khatun struck twice in the 22nd and 45th minutes while Trisha Rani added the another one goal in the 13th minute of the match.
A total of eight district teams, split into two groups, are taking part in the championship, organized by Bangladesh Football Federation.
After the group phase matches, top two teams from each group will play the cross semifinals on September 7 while the final of the championship is slated for September 9.
Participating teams:
Group A - Mymensingh, Panchagarh, Brahmanbaria and Cox’s Bazar districts.
Group B - Rajshahi, Magura, Khulna and Faridpur districts.
